My Story:
Welcome to BOLD!
In 2014, I founded BOLD Career Coaching because I passionately believe that all of us have unique gifs that we bring to this world. My own passion is helping people connect to their authentic selves and build meaningful and fulfilling professional lives that reflect their unique skills, strengths, and talents.
Prior to becoming a certified coach, I spent over 10 years in the business world, most recently working at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in various analytical and managerial roles. I have experience coaching and developing individuals at both senior and junior levels. As a career changer myself, I know first hand about the challenges and joys of transitioning to a new career.
I left the business world to found BOLD, after realizing that I wanted to devote more of my time towards my true passions and strengths. My own professional and personal background allows me to relate to the day-to-day challenges facing professionals within organizations, as well as men or women who have chosen more non-traditional career paths. My clients include recent graduates, young professionals establishing themselves in early career, mothers who took an extended career break to raise family and are looking to return to paid workforce or begin a new venture, as well as individuals in mid-career who want to build professionally meaningful and fulfilling careers.
My Bio:
In addition to my certificate in Professional Coaching from New York University, I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Politics from Brandeis University and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. I am certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). I am a member of the International Coach Federation and the American Society for Training and Development, New York chapter.
I strongly believe in community service, and volunteer and support a number of causes. Most recently, I was a Board member and Secretary of Arts to Grow, a NYC-based arts education non-profit providing classes in visual, literary and performance arts to the underserved children in the New York metro region. I have volunteered as a career counselor for a global non-profit Dress for Success to help disadvantaged women with resume building and career searches. I have also contributed my time to my alma mater, Brandeis University, as an admissions interviewer. My other affiliations are with a global micro-finance organization ACCION, and an NYC-based education non-profit, Chess-in-the-Schools.
A bit more:
I am an avid runner, a former swimmer, a new tennis enthusiast, and generally a lover of sports of any kind. At age 40, I discovered two new hobbies: gardening and learning to play the piano. I love to cook for my family and friends and have spontaneous get-togethers just because. When life gets too hectic, I will escape for a quick outdoor yoga session to center myself and recharge. I can't wait to see what the next 40 years will bring!
I also love to write....for more of my story and thoughts on life and career growth, please visit my blog.
